Season 21 is now over, and we are entering the teams second season. Last season had some great moments, and while most of it was worth celebrating, it was not only joy. Benne Cappon took the team from the bottom division to the 5th division all by himself, and a good team effort led to the team reaching 4th divison. Writing this a couple of weeks after our stay in division 4, is hard.
But the positives first, Benne Cappon, what a man! Victory after victory after victory, he gave the club a good amount of both cash and points. Sadly, he was recently sold for 125,000 $, and is currently making his stay in division 1. We wish Benne Cappon all the best in the future.
Tarjei Amundsen, the last of the original squad, has turned into a great TT rider. In no way did I expect he would turn out as good as he did, and I expected a decent back up at the very most. While he has yet to make a mark in terms of results, the team is confident that it is only a matter of time.
Benoit Köehler is also turning into an exciting rider. He has already turned green, in average that is, and he has currently moved on to his flat training. He will certainly become a great teammate, and likely turn into a great captain, for our goals atleast.
So, what went wrong? Why is it that we ended the season all the way back in division 8? Honestly, I don't know. Benne Cappon ended his winning streak as sudden as he started it, and Tarjei Amundsen hasn't gotten any mayor results yet. Benne Cappon has now been sold, and the future in TT lies with Tarjei Amundsen. Alongside him, Jaap Maaskant will try to snatch some cash here and there. Benoit Köehler on the other hand, will focus on climbing, mostly hill climbing. With some luck, he can turn into a captain as good as Cappon, perhaps even better.
Time will tell what will happen with the team and it's new focus. What we do know, is that we do not belong in division 8, and we don't plan on staying.

I'm not giving up, I'm not even close to giving up.
I'm also sure the team will get up again, as I said in the press release. I've got got a good foundation now, which I can work further on.
And when it comes to training, I am always looking to keep the riders. In the case of Benoit Köehler, I wanted to keep most of his value in case he maxed early, and I am sure he will become a good captai
You'll get there, nearly everyone has had this happen to their team... You're heading in the right direction so I think you'll move up quickly... And try to stick with your good riders, training and then selling them is not profitable...
You are doing good and have the start of a good team. It will take time and you will go up and down until your team gets stronger and can keep replenishing the points and stay in the higher divisions. Don't give up. :)
The same exact thing happened to me. I went from div 8 up to div 5 at the end of a season. Since getting points is MUCH harder in div 5 then div 8 I fell back to div 8. You lose the older earned points at a regular interval. No points coming in while losing old points results in falling back down.
